Positively Lovely
I'm Mae, 16, from California. I like a lot of things and wouldn't label this blog as any particular type!

honeyyvanille:

Sometimes you need to remind yourself that you were the one who carried you through the heartache. You are the one who sits with the cold body on the shower floor, and picks it up. You are the one who feeds it, who clothes it, who tucks it into bed, and you should be proud of that. Having the strength to take care of yourself when everyone around you is trying to bleed you dry, that is the strongest thing in the universe.

colourless—waves:

"To Santa Claus and Little Sisters" is the title of this poem. It was written in the 1960s by an  Anonymous 15 year old boy, 2 years before he committed suicide. Osoanon Nimuss wrote a very similar version to this, he titled it Absolutely Nothing and Steven Chbosky (The perks of being a wallflower) used Nimuss' version in the Perks Of Being A Wallflower. This poem is also in English curriculum for a lot of high schools. It is a very powerful poem, and although it is very blunt, there is so much more meaning and depth behind each line.
